Yet to be convinced

It doesn’t protect against bright sunlight (my cardigan draped over the hood of the stroller is more effective); it doesn’t protect against strong winds; it’s only water resistant. So what exactly does it do? I’m sure it will be a great protector against insects when summer comes but then I won’t be able to see my son sitting in the stroller because the meshing is such a dark material.
